Berber rugs originally come from North Africa, especially the countries of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. They were traditionally made by the indigenous people of this region: the so-called ‘berbers’. Today, with the advent of machines and global demand, the rugs are actually made all over the world.
