An 80×450 cm rug: An old-fashioned runner? Don’t think so!
Look, the red carpet is, of course, very well known. And didn’t your grandparents use to have something like it in the hallway, but an old-fashioned one with flowers? If this is your idea of runners, you are in for a treat. After all, runners are not old-fashioned, and certainly not just red. An 80×450 cm rug can be very hip! Just look at how many different types of runners there actually are.
With an 80×450 runner in your home, you show that you have an eye for detail. Nowadays, there are lots of different runners available. So it’s actually a waste just to put them in the hall. A runner can also be laid down very conveniently in the living room, on a long open strip of floor in front of the cupboard, for example, or in the children’s play corner (you can also find fun play mats for that).
A runner on the balcony
How about an 80×450 runner on a balcony or gallery? Won’t it get dirty? No, because we have special outdoor rugs that are made to withstand both rain and sun. These rugs are appropriately called balcony rugs. These outdoor runners are colourfast and wear-resistant. So feel free to choose a nice bright colour such as yellow or red, because you don’t have to worry that your beautiful runner will fade quickly.
No more tripping
To make sure the runner doesn’t slide on the floor and make people trip over or slip, it’s smart to take a moment to add an anti-slip underlay to your order. This don’t cost much and you can easily cut it to size at home so you won’t see anything when it’s under your runner.
