How happy we are with Nordic weavers’ products. Wool rugs with a Scandinavian touch. The highest quality we have ever had the pleasure of selling. It starts with the selection of wool, where a special breed of sheep with extra-long and strong hairs is selected. The wool is cleaned very thoroughly. And then coloured using traditional methods. The wool is mixed with a little viscose to give the yarn a little more life.

With cheap wool, shorter (leftover) hairs are often used and cleaning is often something that is skipped. Also, the woollen threads are tightened with a little less force, such a wool rug often has a sombre cushioning. Even though these are generally still fine rugs, they are just not of the same class.

It is and always will be wool and will always fluff a little but Nordic Weavers has really done its best to slow down this process. In addition to selecting the wool, only the most experienced hand workers are allowed to work on the rugs. This ensures a very even ‘finish’ and at the same time respects the art of handwork without losing quality. Tip: if you’d like to enjoy a wool rug a bit longer, walk inside with socks and don’t use hard hoover brushes.

The Lett is not just another wool rug. The rug is finished with a strong black warp thread. The wool has a high density and a colourfast appearance. The rug can be used on both sides. And is a result of diligent handwork. You will think then that such a rug will cost a fortune. But nothing could be further from the truth! We have the luxury of buying in bulk and you, the customer, benefit from this – a win-win!
